Dear College Community:

I hope that you are safe and healthy as you read this. The current global health crisis is a reminder that history is far more than disassociated events from the past with little or no personal effect. We are all now intimately experiencing history as it happens. Because of this I am taking the opportunity to request that you contribute your photos, activities, memories to our online archive. The crisis is not just about the afflicted, it is also how we as a nation experienced the upheaval to our lives.

Are you working from home, helping elderly neighbors, frightened due to an underlying condition, trying to keep your own studies going while now home schooling your children? Or maybe you used the time to develop a hobby or finished a book you always intended to read. Each of us has a story to tell and by documenting our response we can ensure that future generations know and understand the Covid-19 crisis. All contributions will become part of the Montgomery County Community College Covid-19 archive.

To participate, please contact Archives & Special Collections Librarian Lawrence Greene at lgreene@mc3.edu.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. I would also be interested in collecting diaries or journals kept during this time as important documentation of Covid-19.

Sincerely,

Lawrence Greene
