Please complete our Information Literacy Request Form to request an instruction session led by your Faculty Librarians. Sessions can be held online, in your classroom, or in the library classrooms at both campuses.
The libraries provide hands-on, assignment-relevant instructional sessions to further the information literacy skills of our students. The scope of each session can be customized to meet the needs of the class, from a brief introduction of library research concepts and services, to practical activities to engage the college student in the research process, to the reinforcement of information literacy skills within the context of the student's chosen field.
When completing the form, please:
Instructor attendance is expected and required at all library instruction sessions, as your presence allows you to field questions about the assignment/research topics.
The library is committed to serving the needs of faculty and students, regardless of campus location or modality. If you have questions when choosing the appropriate library intervention, please email librarian Kevin Strunk at kstrunk@mc3.edu.
Please complete our Embedded Librarian Request Form to request a Faculty Librarian.
Embedded librarianship at MontCo is available in every modality and is a true partnership between faculty librarians and teaching faculty in the classroom. An embedded librarian reinforces classroom instruction, provides point-of-need assistance to students at every stage of the research process, and affords your students the opportunity to cultivate a relationship with a professional librarian for their ongoing research needs (Franzen et al, 2024). If you have any questions about what embedded librarianship might look like in your classroom please reach out to your Library Liaison or Director of Libraries Nicole Maugle at nmaugle@mc3.edu.
